Ocean Jasper comes from a mine directly on a shoreline that is only accessible during low tide near Madagascar.  Our grade A Ocean Jasper free forms are real treats, as they feature orbicular patterns that are rarely seen in “modern” deposits.

Ocean Jasper has supportive and protective vibes that encourage openness and nurturing of bonds.  Place this in any space that could benefit from balance between a collective of individuals.

what we've learned

Ocean Jasper has only been available since the 90s, when a deposit off the coast of Madagascar was spotted on a boat ride during low tide. Prior to that, Ocean Jasper was something of a legend- a mysterious material rumored to exist in 1922 and again in 1950 after a sample was brought to a reputable museum in France but without helpful information regarding its origin.

It wasn’t until 1997 that Ocean Jasper was discovered after a 45 day expedition and by 2006, the deposit of Ocean Jasper off the coast of Madagascar was completely exhausted.  Though efforts to locate new veins of Ocean Jasper deposits are ongoing, almost all the material on the market is currently all there will be until such discovery is made as only small pockets of the mineral sporadically emerge.

Ocean Jasper’s internal structure is packed with naturally formed crystalline orbs of Chalcedony, a variety of quartz that also forms crystals such as Agate, Aventurine, Carnelian, and Bloodstone.  Ocean Jasper’s internal orbs appear as a pattern of circles which is thought to represent infinite cyclic movement and known in Sacred Geometry to represent oneness and the basis of all life.

Ocean Jasper vibes with a clear slate prime for creation.  The circular energy emulates acceptance of oneness and the cyclic process of infinite flow. Use Ocean Jasper when faced with overwhelm, stagnant progression, and/or separatism as the high vibing frequency of Ocean Jasper supports natural movement, surrender, acceptance, and wholeness.

NOTE:  Most “Ocean Jasper” sold on the market today is incorrectly labeled and actually Sea Jasper, a Jasper type from a different area near the original deposit but lacking the classic orbicular markings and colors of true Ocean Jasper.  Aside from the differing appearance, the price between true Ocean Jasper and Sea Jasper varies greatly as orbicular Ocean Jasper is rare and no new material is available to extract.

FYI: Things to Note

You will receive the selected item pictured.

Please note that we do not offer any products that have been heat-treated or color-treated.  It’s not our thing.  We’re strictly sellers of Earth-produced minerals and only sell what we believe in.  We’re also mindfully particular about where and who we source crystals from and spend a ton of time procuring each specimen to ensure ethical alignment.  We refuse to sell lab grown or questionable materials and specialize in limited items of low quality because we deserve nice things that are sourced in a safe, meaningful, and healthy way.
